What’s Better Than Music?
A few years ago, I used to collect music videos. I had two DVDs full of them. Two DVDs may not seem like much now but in 2004 it seemed like a great deal. I still have those DVDs, carefully hidden away at home. My precious!
I still wish to collect music videos. Easier now that I have a bigger hard disk and a DVD writer (to back them up).
The real reason I liked music videos is that I found that music videos enhanced the song. It created a tiny story within the song that added to the music. But nothing had power like Rammstein music videos. It gripped you, threw you out of this world into another and brought you screaming back at the end. Have no idea what I’m talking about? Then you’ve never watched a Rammstein music video.
Here’s one I consider excellent. Rammstein - Rosenrot

Rammstein has good videos. But their live performances…

Their live performances are on a different level altogether, which is why I didn’t mention them.

There were a few that I found to be completely unrelated to the song or the title actually. I never did figure out what their songs were about. Google translate wasn’t good enough.

http://herzeleid.com/ is recommended for lyrics translations. Their lyrics are supposed to be filled with double entendres so we won’t know if the music videos make sense or not. Some Wikipedia articles about the music videos explain the videos themselves.
