‘Terror 3′ – by 3rd year Mech, AIHT
People from 3rd year Mechanical in my college put together these pictures and text effects as a video and the result is surprisingly interesting.
The English isn’t very good, yes, but it’s the ideas and the visuals that count. They’ve managed it quite well with just still images and a PC. Too bad the whole lot of them are stuck in engineering where they’ll have all talent and interest drained out of them by the time they graduate.

Who said you have the talent drained out of you? Engineering is cool!

God!!! Marc you are running out of posts!!!! I looked at about 15 seconds of that video and it sucked!! They have used random adjectives always followed by mech. Pretty cheap….and u think this is being sucked away by engineering ?? As much as I hate Anna Univ, I think the one thing that makes Anna Univ Engineering degree look good is probably this video.Gosh….

Yeah yeah, get past the usual compensation for the mech inferiority complex and see the rest of the video. I skipped that part. Heavily inspired by Tamil movies, yes, but still watchable.

Sundar, you’ve gone CRAZY man. You don’t think before saying anything like that.
Engineering totally SUCKS..

Their inferiority complex gets in their way. But they are humorous folks. They have this habit of writing mech that, mech this in places you won’t expect.

Rachel, he’s probably kidding. And if your comment goes missing, say so in the shoutbox and I’ll rescue it from the spam section. No need to repost.

I skipped to 8:3x and somewhere around there is A.R.Prashant? Holy shit! A.R.! Holy crap, I’m so showing this to my school classmates. Oh boy, oh boy, one man army’s got it coming now.

If Sundar says Engineering is cool, I am with him
But I think we are kind of deviating from the topic at hand.As for the funny adjectives, they probably used a thesaurus to find out what to write before mech!! I think Marc you can feature my T-3 classroom cricket videos instead. Its on YouTube.
November 13th, 2007 at 1:45 pm
Oh no, not T-3. You have your own blog. Post it there.

Yeah, Prashant is there. Forgot about him. Poor bastard is in my college. Why is he called ‘one man army’?
November 13th, 2007 at 9:27 pm
Why shouldn’t he be called that?
November 13th, 2007 at 9:45 pm
Well how you got this video dude??? Did anyone from mech informed you abt this video??? They always show off that they belong to mech department. But poor folks. Most of them end up in IT sector. Then whats the use in those show off that they belong to mech. Actually mech course is interesting compared to other courses in engineering but the only thing is the job. They dont have lot of opportunities like IT.

George, I asked first.
Vinod, I agree.
And I got the video from the college community in Orkut.

Mechanical guys do get jobs in mechanical engineering firms. If IT guys can get jobs in Google and Microsoft,Yahoo! , then there’s no reason they can’t get jobs in Daimler Chrysler (Which does come for placements.) I am sure some of the guys in the current batch are good enuf. Karthik, Abhi are already placed in mechanical firms. (Do note that these people do not show “Gethu” ) Venkat will also probably get placed in a mech firm. Manoj is equally good i hear.
(I guess the same can be said about EEE students.
Maybe, just maybe ill get placed in some decent electrical/electronics firm.BTW the company to which the placement officer didnt let me go, no one got placed form our college. Its time he stops thinking I am stopping guys form getting placed. They suck!!)
The truth is most people aren’t good enough and at the completion of 4 years of Engineering, have no idea what they did, where they stand and what needs to be done in future. Thats the stark and naked truth.

Yes, but I’m smarter
Frankly though, I have no clue why he’s called that.
November 14th, 2007 at 2:25 pm
karthik, you’ve gone rather off topic there. Huge companies aren’t going to recruit freshers. The IT industry does so only because of the huge demand.
If I owned a company, I definitely wouldn’t recruit engineering freshers. Almost all of them are unemployable. I’d rather attract people with some experience from other companies by offering higher salaries and save money on training costs.
George, the word you’re looking for is ‘geekier’.
