MORTAL KOMBAT!

I saw this video and it’s just too funny! Must watch!

DeCadence (”dee-’kay-dence”) is an A Cappella group based at the University of California, Berkeley.

What is ‘A Cappella‘?

Brilliant stuff, this video. The DeCadence members punching fists in the air like the audience in the Mortal Kombat games is also very well done. If you had paid attention you would notice that each member does a different part of the music. Amazing stuff.

After I finished watching this I felt sad. Nothing like this would ever happen in my college, ever. Creativity is discouraged in favour of rote learning in almost all engineering colleges.

I watched it and was damn good!

They have to encourage such stuffs bringing in some professionals to teach. I’d go if they had it on Saturdays. It’d be just great and studies manageable.

  4. Marc Z says:

Arun, people don’t teach this. People with the same interests just form groups and the college just supports them. This is because those colleges contain educated informed staff unlike here.

  5. Arun says:

So you can do that if you found some guys who are really interested? Would you know where to start and how to go about it?

  6. Marc Z says:

Yes you would. The best part is even if you don’t you can always make it up as you go along. You don’t have to conform to anything! Colleges there have always had all kinds of groups. Starting one should be the easiest thing ever.

  7. Arun says:

So you imply that groups should already exist if they can draw any people at all. Someone already in the group, who know at least something can guide those who wish to join. Here it can’t happen.

  8. Marc Z says:

There’s no way it can happen here since Indian society is obsessed with the concept of hardcore studies for the most part. You are supposed to pursue education with fanatical dedication. No one encourages these things.
