We Don’t Know Where You Live

Oh brilliant. I used the December Airtel bill to open an account with IOB and now I have no other document to furnish as proof of address for the SBI account.

Damn.

The only reason I could use the Airtel bill was since I had signed up for Airtel Broadband in my name. All the other documents contain the address of my old house and thus are unusable. I’ll have to find some workaround.

I really should get my passport ready. It’s good for ID and address proof almost anywhere.

Hehe, they’re right though. You really ought to get yourself a passport soon.

  5. Marc Z says:

Adithya, you know my money problems. Without address proof I cannot get a bank account to get the money to me.

Anusha, agreed. I will get on it. Soon.

  6. Srividya says:

Don’t you have a voter’s ID card or Ration card. But then again they wont be of use if they contain different addresses.

  7. Marc Z says:

The SBI form mentions that according to recent rules Ration cards cannot be used as proof of address. And I don’t have a voter’s ID card. Even if I did it would have the old address.

I am forced to wait for this month’s Airtel bill.

I think am going to open my account this Monday. Are you sure we can integrate it with Paypal? I don’t trust Ragha.

  9. Marc Z says:

Even if we can’t it’s a good bank with lots of branches. And if we can’t we’ll take over Ragha’s account.

  10. Adithya says:

Ok good but you also get a credit card so that I can integrate it with paypal xD
