The End of The Joker

January 23, Gotham City

It was a day of mixed reactions in Gotham City as news of the The Joker’s death reached the population. The criminal mastermind was found dead in his hideout day today. The Gotham City Police Department has not been forthcoming with details and many sources suspect that the death was due to an overdose of a new drug that The Joker was experimenting with.

The Joker Is Dead

Commissioner Browne requested that the police department be given more time to investigate the issue and rubbished rumours that this was an assassination by enemies or the police department. When asked if the Batman might have had something to do with this, the Commissioner suggested that perhaps the Batman should be asked this question and not him. He did not respond to reporters who suggested that this drug (referred to only as Ambien) was already in the city judging by reports of people behaving strangely. Billionaire Bruce Wayne has offered the use of facilities at Wayne Laboratories to study the effects of this new drug from samples obtained from the hideout.

That’s not funny, Marc. Heath Ledger was a living man.

  2. Marc Z says:

It isn’t supposed to be funny. I haven’t mention Heath Ledger anywhere. I used the circumstances of his death to imagine the kind of news article that would be written in Gotham City about the death of The Joker.

  3. Arun says:

All right, I thought you were regretting his death.

  4. George says:

You can bet he’s regretting his death man, it just that this isn’t making fun of it.

  5. Marc Z says:

Yes, exactly. I do regret his death, but this post isn’t about it.
