Port Backwarding
Some people I know directed me to this incredible new technique called port backwarding. By changing a few settings to backward your port you can improve your torrent download speeds. They said they noticed a speed increase and that they have seen this on many tutorials, so it must work right?
Sometimes when you connect a table fan to some other electrical socket in your house it works faster, doesn’t it? The concept of port backwarding is the same. No need to actually look up the logic behind it or anything. We can just blindly follow this technique and improve your torrent speed by 700% or more! Go tell everyone about port backwarding so that they can benefit too. You can learn more about it here.

You have no consideration, you are hurting my sentiments. I’ve been trying to get that bloody router to forward some ports to that living room computer and it’s been driving me crazy.
Please think about other people before posting stuff like this.

Well for those of you who didn’t get it, this is a parody of the port forwarding posts some people made claiming that doing so increased their connection/download speeds.

It works for me
No seriously, but it only works if the ports weren’t forwarded in the first place. Without them forwarded, nothing works.

Port forwarding makes your connection work. It does not increase download speeds.
My computer is already configured for internet access. What is the use of me or anyone else like me (who already has a working connection) setting up port forwarding?

Dude, Its similar to tunneling, it just doesn’t increase your download speed, but it promises a interrupt less connection, which in turn shows a increase in the speed than it used to be, with the single router. And talking about that Torrent thing, its not just only port forwarding, it creates a new router for bit torrent alone and thus ensuring only torrent traffic is there.

I know exactly what port forwarding is and what it can or cannot do. My problem is with people claiming that it increases download speeds.

Hey I heard that Port Firing improves torrent speeds by upto 70,000 % Any truth to it ?
This is how it works. You choose a set of movies to download, pay for them (to me). Next day you will have the movies delivered at your footstep.
P.S: Works only with bulk order. Order 70,000 movies today. Rush.
