Back to WoW

I know… I said I was quitting World of Warcraft. However the reason I quit was due to lack of players and it looks like there might be a solution to this, which is why I’m going back to the game.

A few weeks I found World of Warcraft - India, a Google Group set up by some current WoW players in India. They were debating moving to a new server so that we could play together. Adithya and I joined the discussion and we finally decided to start Horde characters on Deathwing US PvP. So we started new characters and played a little. I got bored soon and started playing other games.

Yesterday Xavier said that he was finally starting WoW. This was good news because Blizzard had recently created awesome incentives for bringing your friends to play through a program called Recruit-A-Friend. If your friend uses your guest key and starts playing, you both get triple XP and free level ups among other benefits. This made levelling characters so much easier and we quickly went to level 16 in a single day.

So I’ll continue playing WoW along with Battlefield 2 (from Thursday), YS Flight (don’t ask), Fighter Ace 3 and Team Fortress 2 (via Steam). I also have to find time to play Medieval 2 Total War, The Battle for Middle-earth 2 and Command & Conquer Tiberium Wars!

How are you using steam? Don’t you need a legit copy of the game?

  2. George says:

So he bought a legit copy. Just like for BF2.

Marc? Paying thousands of rupees for a game? Buying legit copies?

    shit.

The only games I’ve ever paid for are:
    World of Warcraft
    Battlefield 2
    Team Fortress 2
    Fighter Ace
    Darkstar One

I played WoW on private servers for about 4 months and it was really buggy and player population was low. So moved to official.

Battlefield 2 private servers were bothersome to connect to and so I thought paid might be better.

The Team Fortress 2 torrent simply does not have enough seeders to download it and play on cracked servers.

Fighter Ace is just too much fun so I paid for one month and that’s about it.

Darkstar One is a good game and quite cheap (Rs. 400) so I bought it.

None of these games cost more than Rs. 800.
