  1. Vin says:

Somehow, I don’t feel impressed. If it was Russian, I would be clapping right now.

  2. Xavier says:

The Harrier and the Yak-38 could do all this and more ( except go supersonic) and they were made in the 60s and 70s. The F-35 is a good aircraft but i don’t think its “HOLY CRAP” material.

  3. Arun says:

Is this the one that can attack and launch missiles from any angle with full maneuverability? I read about this in The Hindu some time back.

  4. George says:

I remember reading about this and the F-22. Amazing aircraft.

Still, the one plane that still makes me feel complete awe is this one: SR-71 Blackbird.

I mean, I think the Su-47 is fucking awesome, but the SR-71 is just mind-blowing. If I saw one live I’d stare my eyes out of their sockets.

  5. Marc says:

Vinny, how do you know the Russians don’t have something similar hidden away?

Xavier, helicopters could do the same much earlier. The point is that this particular aircraft has superior flight capabilities that the other VTOL and STOVL aircraft cannot match.

Arun, no plane can launch from any angle.

George, totally OOT. This is an air superiority fighter / fighter bomber we are talking about.

  6. George says:

Marc: Well, not being so specific myself, I was just talking about the coolness of aircraft.

  7. Marc says:

    It’s just fast.

  8. Arun M says:

Cool stuff! But as vin says, it ain’t Russian, so no claps ;)
