New Blog Theme (Nov 2008)

You can now see the new theme I’ve chosen for my blog.

The previous theme was quite interesting but there was a certain unfinished quality to it that I could never fix, even after numerous modifications.

This new theme’s most unique feature is that it displays the latest post in full width. There are no sidebars until the end of the post. After that the traditional blog layout begins with posts on the left and a sidebar on the right. The colours are easy on the eyes and the layout is clean and well proportioned.

1. Removed default banner image and added my own
2. Sidebars recoloured
3. Tabbed sidebar element modified to remove archives section
4. Comments section recoloured
5. Gravatar border removed and some minor position changes
6. Removed extra crap in post footer

To Do
1. Banner improvement
2. Search bar should be smaller and perhaps repositioned
3. More content for tabbed sidebar element
4. Footer needs work, bigtime
5. Comment entry section needs rewording, Submit button position change
6. Author comment highlight
