I have finally arrived at my destination – Chennai. Since I arrived at night and on a holiday I was not able to see the city with its denizens doing whatever they do everyday. However I will be here for a week and hope to explore this totally new place.
The only problem is that I don’t know anyone here nor do I know the local language. I hope to make some new friends and discover some awesome new places here!

Reading her Wikipedia entry, she was in Pitch Black… really? And Phone Booth. Oh phew, she isn’t Indian. Just had a India-obsessed mother.
Story: 6/10
Decent. But the crime plot with a complicated ending has been done to death. No points for originality. A few points for the Russian theme.
Setting: 1/10
Well they kept mentioning the NYPD so it must have been New York. Again.
Special Effects: N/A
None. It isn’t that kind of movie.
Music: 3/10
I’m quite sure the Russians would be annoyed to find t.A.T.u representing their country (Not Gonna Get Us started playing towards the end). Viewers who didn’t know the band was Russian would have wondered why the music was playing.
Verdict: 4/10
It’s watchable but nothing unique. Try it out if you like any of the lead actors and you have lots of time.
Note the complete lack of spoilers in my review. Some people don’t understand this concept.
A combination of luck and skill averted what could have been a major disaster.

The upgrade to the latest version of WordPress completely broke the administrative section of my blog. I couldn’t find the problem initially and gave up without really trying. Since the main page, posts and comments worked fine I didn’t revert to a backup and put off the fixing for later, even though I couldn’t post or approve any new comments.
I would have gotten around to doing it eventually if I had not started working at a software development company early in December (see next post). I really didn’t have the energy or interest to fix the blog so as usual I asked George to do it.
He got it working again and I was able to reactive some plugins and the shoutbox that I had deactivated as a precaution. I’m currently unable to provide threaded comments (even though WordPress now supports it) since the theme has to support it and I doubt I could add this functionality easily. I’m still going to try though… when I get the time.
I ran into some trouble upgrading to WordPress 2.7 and I think some functions in my current theme were causing the problem. I’ll have to take a look at it when I get some time.
Until then, this is a temporary theme.
Edit: Looks like it was a problem with the upgrade process. The theme is back!
