Flatland BMX Skillz

Cricket fanatics often live in their own tiny world and don’t realise that there are other sports out there, some of which are mindblowing. I watched last year’s X Games and it was crazy. The stunts in motocross, skateboarding and BMX were out of this world. You could watch it all day. Check out these flatland BMX stunts and just try not to be amazed.

Compare this to some guy knocking a ball around with a wooden stick and running a bit every now and then.

Hitman, The Movie - Review

I watched the Hitman movie (which is based on the game series of the same name) even though people said it was bad. I loved Hitman Contracts and Hitman Blood Money (excellent games!) so I had to find out for myself.

The biggest mistake is that the Hitman (played by Timothy Olyphant) does not resemble the one in the game at all.

See the game screenshot and the movie’s interpretation for comparison. He should be fairer and more heavily set. And he should be absolutely emotionless with a deadpan expression at all times. In fact, an older hitman who is hunting our guy seemed more appropriate for the role.

No one asked for a bald James Bond but that is exactly what the film gives you. The female lead is easy on the eyes but the Hitman does not work with anyone and putting her there was an obvious effort to appeal to a large audience (which ruins the image of the character).

Hitman with Girl

The only things I liked about the movie were the locations. It was set in Russia and surrounding countries and so was a refreshing change from the usual running around in New York City. The locals spoke Russian most of the time instead of badly accented English which was a nice touch.

So should you watch the movie? Well forget about the Hitman game and imagine the character with some hair and you get a decent action movie.

Test Your Awareness

When you are concentrating on something, strange things are known to happen. This is an awareness video for a cyclist safety campaign. Watch this video:

The mind doesn’t always work that way you expect it to, does it?

Also, the average intelligence of YouTube commenters can be determined from this one comment (for the video above):

cyclists should not be on the road, they did not pay fuel tax.

Rammstein - The Misheard Lyrics

Looking for Rammstein videos on Youtube I stumbled across this one titled Rammstein - the Misheard Lyrics. I won’t describe it. You just have to see it.

Search for ‘misheard lyrics’ for more videos like this only with different songs.

Alien Ant Farm - Smooth Criminal

This is one of the funniest music videos ever. Originally performed by Michael Jackson, Alien Ant Farm have done an awesome job performing it.

There’s so much crazy stuff going on in the video that I don’t know what to laugh at!

Rammstein - Ohne Dich

If you thought metal was all about ear drum damaging sounds and people screaming like crazy you are only partially right. Though there are a lot of high energy songs many bands also make beautiful songs that even sissy pop lovers will find interesting.

I present to you one of Rammstein’s lighter songs.

This song is called Ohne Dich.

A Truthful Microsoft Ad

For a change, here’s a Microsoft ad that’s actually truthful.

And they expect us to pay for this.

One more thing: Stop using Microsoft Office! It’s bloatware. OpenOffice can do more and it is only about 100 MB. It can save a document to PDF. Can your precious MS Office do that?

Sweet ???? O’ Mine

Ever wondered how the Guns N’ Roses song Sweet Child O’ Mine would sound if performed by Indians? Me neither. But they went ahead and did it anyway.

Why? WHY?

Batman Begins Again

Batman Begins

I found the DVD with Batman Begins on it when looking for other stuff so I’m going to watch it again. What a movie! Can’t wait for The Dark Knight.

I also have to finish watching Batman - The Animated Series. I still have it, Suren. Need more time. Too much Stargate SG1 and Atlantis to watch. And then Heroes season two.

Dragon Ball - Character List

A lot of people seem to like Dragon Ball and it’s other sequels so I am going to try to find out what it is all about without actually watching any of the epsiodes. I have a list of characters from Wikipedia and this shall be my starting point.

Son Goku
He isn’t the son of Goku, he’s just called Son Goku. Apparently he has uniquely styled hair which is a characteristic of a full blooded Saiyan (more on the Saiyans later). Hair sticking out in all directions defying gravity is unique indeed. Uniquely ridiculous. Japanese animé is known for spiky hairs in colours ranging from blue to bubblegum pink so I guess Son Goku’s hair is nothing strange (to them).

This is a picture of this guy:

Bulma
Bulma seems to be the typical ditzy female character. And she has turquoise coloured hair.

Bulma - Dragon Ball

Muten Roshi
A wise and gentle old man who has a dirty mind and harasses women. Huh?

Kuririn

Hey, I remember this bald guy from one of the two or three episodes I accidentally watched. All he seemed to do was yell “Gohan!” or “Goku!” and pant from the exhaustion of fighting.

Kuririn

Piccolo
Don’t expect him to bear any resemblance to the musical instrument. This is Japanese animé, after all. Some sort of genderless pointy eared green guy with incredibly huge shoulder pads. He is either wearing a turban or bandages wrapped around his head.

Piccolo - Dragon Ball

I’ve covered most of the interesting looking characters. Next we’ll examine the storyline. Not for the faint of heart, I warn you!

If you want the entire Dragon Ball series, leave a comment below and I’ll sell it to you.
